Our trained volunteers extend the reach of the care team by providing companionship, running errands, and giving family caregivers a much-needed break.
Hospice volunteers are compassionate community members who complete a thorough training program before serving. They provide meaningful companionship for patients, assist with light tasks, and offer respite for family caregivers who need rest.
All services are provided at no cost under the Medicare and Medi-Cal hospice benefit. Serene Hospice never denies care based on ability to pay.
Friendly visits, conversation, reading aloud, or simply a caring presence for patients who may feel lonely.
Light errands such as picking up prescriptions, running to the store, or other helpful tasks.
Giving family caregivers a few hours of genuine rest, knowing their loved one is in caring company.
Music, reminiscing, crafts, or other activities that bring joy and meaning to the patient's day.
Our team is here to answer your questions and help determine if hospice is right for your loved one.
