When a patient experiences a medical crisis at home, Serene Hospice responds with continuous, intensive nursing care to restore comfort and stabilize symptoms — so the patient can remain where they feel safest.
Crisis care (also called Continuous Home Care) is provided when a patient has an acute medical crisis such as severe pain, respiratory distress, or uncontrolled symptoms. A nurse stays with the patient for an extended period — often several hours to around the clock — until the crisis is resolved.
All services are provided at no cost under the Medicare and Medi-Cal hospice benefit. Serene Hospice never denies care based on ability to pay.
A trained nurse is dispatched promptly when a crisis arises, day or night, weekends and holidays.
Continuous nursing presence in the patient's home — avoiding unnecessary hospital transfers.
Immediate medication administration and clinical interventions to control acute symptoms.
Always-available answering service and on-call nursing for urgent guidance before a visit is needed.
Our team is here to answer your questions and help determine if hospice is right for your loved one.
