Our chaplains and spiritual care coordinators provide compassionate, non-denominational spiritual support that honors each patient's unique beliefs, values, and traditions.
Spiritual care addresses the existential and faith-related questions that naturally arise at end of life. Our chaplains listen without judgment, provide prayer and ritual support when desired, coordinate with patients' own clergy, and help patients and families find peace and meaning.
All services are provided at no cost under the Medicare and Medi-Cal hospice benefit. Serene Hospice never denies care based on ability to pay.
Respectful spiritual care for patients of all faiths, beliefs, and backgrounds — including those with no religious affiliation.
Facilitating prayer, religious rituals, and spiritual practices that bring comfort to the patient.
Working alongside the patient's own pastor, priest, rabbi, imam, or spiritual leader.
Helping patients reflect on their life, values, and the legacy they wish to leave.
Our team is here to answer your questions and help determine if hospice is right for your loved one.
